rallycars.com is hosted by PAIR Networks on one of their ultra fast UNIX servers. These are, in turn, connected to the Internet through a mesh of 3 GigE (3x1000Mb/s) and 3 OC-12c (3x622Mbps) multi-homed circuits which reach a total bandwidth of approximately 3866Mbps and rely on BGP-4 fail over capabilities. The server is running Apache 2.2.4 with mod_rewrite and mod_perl on Free BSD 6.2-RELEASE-p1 UNIX. The site is built using Microsoft FrontPage and Macromedia DreamWeaver MX but its layout and navigation scheme are custom made. Most pages incorporate technologies such as PERL cgi Server Side scripting, Java frames, Java applets, Client Side JavaScript and Server Side Includes. All JavaScript is handwritten and V1.1 compliant as are most Java classes. You will obtain best results, when browsing rallycars.com, if you use a version 4 or higher browser, either Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer but we acknowledge that some JavaScript and formatting will work best with IE. rallycars.com has been online since late 1996 when it started as
an experimentation for me to develop my web related skills. It has since evolved and grown
