rallycars.com is hosted by PAIR Networks on one of their ultra fast UNIX servers. These are, in turn, connected to the Internet through a mesh of 3 10GigE (3x10000Mbps) and 7 GigE (7x1000Mbps) multi-homed fiber circuits which reach a total bandwidth of more than 35Gbps and rely on BGP V4 fail-over capabilities. The server is running Apache 2.2.19 with mod_rewrite and mod_perl on FreeBSD 7.3-STABLE UNIX.

The site hierarchy is built using Microsoft FrontPage, the content structure Macromedia DreamWeaver but its layout and navigation scheme are custom made. Most pages incorporate technologies such as PERL cgi Server Side scripting, Java applets and Server Side Includes. You will obtain best results, when browsing rallycars.com, if you use a version 4 or higher browser, either Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer. The site has also been tested and is fully functional on Google Chrome. I would like to particularly thank my wife, Odile, for reformatting the complete site using Cascading Style Sheets, great job!

rallycars.com has been online since late 1996 when it started as an experimentation for me to develop my web related skills. It has since evolved and grown and is now very successful and popular counting an average of 10,000 daily page views, 1,500,000 monthly hits, and more than 700,000 yearly visits. We're really happy to see it is helpful to so many World Rally fans out there.
