Engine

Cast aluminum block and head construction, front transversally mounted, XU7JP4 derived.

1998 cm3 , water cooled turbo charged. Bore: 84mm, stroke: 90mm. Compression ratio 9:1 2 OHC belt driven and hydraulic tappets. 4 valves per cylinder. Engine oil cooler. Engine is leaning by 30° toward the rear of the car.

Engine output: 310Bhp @ 5500rpm. Engine torque: 570Nm @ 2750 rpm. Garrett/Allied Signal TR30R turbo charger and Magneti-Marelli engine management. Fly-by-wire accelerator.

Transmission

Full time four wheel drive. The front, center and rear electronically controlled, active, differentials. 50%-50% F-R torque distribution.

Six speed X-Trac  non synchronized, sequential shift gear box longitudinally mounted. Carbon triple plate clutch, Ø140mm.
High ratio rack and pinion, power assisted steering.
